Credited with saving 100,000 lives, Wallenberg has left a tremendous impact on the Nazi Regime. He is the only person besides Winston Churchill to be granted honorary United States citizenship. United States congress designated October 5 as Raoul Wallenberg Day. The street front of the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C has also been renamed Raoul Wallenberg Plaza.
